Hands-on review of the Casablanca graphic print black T-shirt: 250 g pure cotton, raglan sleeves, print-dye graphic and a loose cut. We measured a size M, compared it with three similar tees and checked buyer reports on sizing.

Casablanca Graphic Print Black T-Shirt Review: 250 g Cotton in Hand

We ordered the Casablanca graphic print black T-shirt (SKU 7718753246) through Superbuy at $8.81, reduced from a listed $9.27, and inspected it at our Hong Kong desk. We checked the parcel, felt and weighed the jersey, examined the collar, raglan sleeves and hem, looked at how the front print sat on the cotton, and measured a size M against the listing's own size chart. Our sample was one coded black variant, so the notes below describe one unit rather than the whole variant range.

What arrived

  • The shirt arrived in a plain poly mailer, folded graphic-in, with no crushing or transit marks.
  • One unit, size M, collarless crewneck, short raglan sleeves, no hood, standard thickness as listed for summer wear.
  • The listing describes the fabric as pure cotton with a print-dye graphic process and a 250 g weight.

Fabric, seams and print

The cotton read as a mid-weight single jersey rather than a thin promotional tee. It is not a stiff, board-like fabric, but there is enough body that the shirt hangs from the shoulder instead of clinging — which is the behaviour you want from a 250 g tee in the loose cut the listing specifies. Under a light the black was even across panels, with no greying at the shoulder seams.

Construction was tidy on our unit. The collar band sits flat with an even stitch line and no rippling, raglan seams run cleanly from the neck to the underarm without puckering, and the hem is straight and level. We found no loose thread pulls on the graphic face.

The front motif is applied by print dye, not embroidery. On our sample the edges of the geometric and cartoon-inspired graphic held their shape, with no bleeding into the black ground and no ink ridge you can feel through the fabric. Print behaviour is the part of a graphic tee most likely to differ between coded variants, so treat that as a single-unit observation.

Measurements and fit

We measured the size M flat, off the hanger, after a short rest out of the mailer. The listing states a 1–3 cm error range, so these numbers are our unit's numbers and not a substitute for the seller's chart.

Measure (size M, our unit)Flat figureNote
Chest, pit to pit54 cmSits at the wider end of a relaxed cut
Back length, collar to hem69 cmHip-length, tuckable without riding up
Raglan sleeve, collar to cuff42 cmClears the elbow without a drop-shoulder look

Worn by two people on the desk team, the shirt sat relaxed through the body with plenty of room at the waist and no tightness across the chest. Nobody needed to size up. If you want a slim silhouette, this is not the garment to do it with.

Sizing: why buyer reports disagree

This is the main open question on the product, and our sample does not resolve it. Retail listings for Casablanca's own tees largely describe a relaxed fit that runs true to size, and one independent stockist puts the house tees at roughly 220–240 gsm in organic cotton. Against that, a buyer thread on Casablanca tops described the cut as slightly oversized and recommended sizing down for a more tailored look. Both readings are reasonable, and they point in opposite directions.

The practical answer is to ignore the label and use numbers. Compare the chest width and back length above with a tee you already like, then pick the size whose chart figures land closest. Because the listed tolerance is 1–3 cm, the difference between two adjacent sizes on a relaxed crewneck can be smaller than the variation between units.

How it compares with three similar tees

We scored nothing until we had three comparable graphic tees side by side from the same order. The table shows how this shirt's stated build sits against the categories it competes with.

On weight the shirt competes above its price band: 250 g puts it alongside the heavyweight retail tier rather than the 160–190 g shirts it is actually priced against. On fabric provenance it does not — the retail tier is described as organic cotton made in Portugal, while this listing says only pure cotton, with no origin stated. What you are buying is the weight and the loose streetwear cut, not the house's material story.

Variant codes and artwork

The listing runs sizes S to XL with dozens of numbered variants, from 90 down to 37, each in black and white. The codes carry no artwork names, and the reference images show more than one graphic across the range. That means the code you select, not the product title, determines which motif you receive.

Before ordering, ask your agent's buying team to photograph the exact code against the reference image and confirm the match in writing. This is the single highest-value step on this product, and it costs nothing.

Caveats we are not burying

  • Sizing reports conflict between slightly oversized and true to size; our one size M unit does not settle it.
  • A retail buyer reported a defect after minimal wear with a replacement refused. That is one report, not a pattern, and it concerns the house's own retail product rather than this listing — but it is the reason to get any after-sales policy in writing first.
  • No review we found addresses this exact SKU. Everything positive about Casablanca cotton and graphics comes from buyers discussing the brand's tops generally.
"They are thick and 100% cotton. Not the thickest I've had, but super close. Print quality of the graphics is A+." — buyer report on Casablanca shirts, r/FashionReps

How it wears and washes

The pure cotton and short-sleeve cut suit warm weather, and the loose body keeps air moving. Care advice for a print-dye graphic on black cotton: wash cold and inside out on a gentle cycle, do not tumble dry hot, and iron on the reverse rather than pressing the graphic directly. Cotton pieces in this weight hold their shape well when dried flat, and the collar band on our unit looked unlikely to stretch out.

Our call

At $8.81 this is a well-made loose cotton crewneck with a graphic that reads clearly on black. We scored it 4 / 5: the fabric, seams and print on our unit justified the weight claim, and the only real deductions are the unresolved sizing split and the fact that variant artwork has to be confirmed by code. If you already wear relaxed tees, know your chest measurement and can check the code before it ships, there is little to argue with here.

How we tested

Ordered through Superbuy at $8.81 and inspected at our Hong Kong desk. We checked parcel condition, assessed the jersey weight, examined collar, raglan and hem stitching, tested print registration, measured a size M against the chart, and compared it with three graphic tees from the same order.

    Product listing verified on 2026-10-10.

Is the raglan sleeve construction noticeable when worn?

Yes. The raglan seams run from the collar to the underarm and give a slightly wider shoulder line than a set-in sleeve. On our size M the sleeve cleared the elbow cleanly, so the cut reads relaxed rather than drop-shouldered.

What should I do about the numbered variant codes?

Ask your agent to photograph the exact code you want next to the reference image before it ships. The codes carry no artwork names, and the listing shows more than one graphic across the range, so the code alone decides which motif you get.

How does the shirt hold up while washing the print?

Wash cold and inside out on a gentle cycle, avoid hot tumble drying, and iron on the reverse instead of pressing the graphic. We could not confirm long-term print durability, since no review we found covers this SKU.

What works
  • 250 g pure cotton read as genuine mid-weight jersey, not thin promotional cotton.
  • Collar band, raglan seams and hem were clean and level on our unit.
  • Print-dye graphic held sharp edges with no bleed into the black ground.
Watch-outs
  • Sizing reports split between slightly oversized and true to size.
  • Variant codes run 90 down to 37 with no artwork names attached.
  • No review covers this exact SKU, and one retail buyer reported a defect after minimal wear.

Who this suits

Anyone building a summer streetwear rotation who wants a relaxed cotton crewneck, can match the chest and back-length chart to a tee they own, and will confirm the coded variant's artwork with their agent first.

Who should look elsewhere

Buyers who need a slim tailored cut, a single verified fit answer, or that get pricing in writing first. One retail report of a refused replacement makes documented after-sales support worth confirming before you order.

Decent tee but I expected more for the price. Cotton is nice and thick, no complaints there, but the graphic started to feel a bit stiff after a few washes, like a rubbery patch on the chest. Fit is very boxy. If you like oversized it works, if not, size down one.

washed it hot by accident, my fault. Shrunk maybe 2 cm in length, width barely moved. So if you're between sizes and want a fitted look you can risk the dryer, otherwise hang dry. Still wearing it, print survived.

250 g sounds midweight but it feels heavier in hand than my Uniqlo supima, closer to a Stussy tee honestly. Graphic print is slightly glossy up close, matte from far. Neck ribbing stayed flat, no bacon collar. 4 stars only cause the sleeves are a bit long for me.

The loose cut part is not a joke. I'm 168 cm and usually take M, went M here and it hangs off me like a dress almost. Shoulders fine but the body is wide. Quality of the cotton is real though, thick and no see through. Wish I sized down.

Finally someone weighing these tees. I got the same black one last month and my kitchen scale says 257 g on a size L, so that 250 g claim is dead on. Print hasn't cracked after maybe eight washes, cold water inside out. Raglan seams sit nice on my shoulders. Only thing, the black picks up lint like crazy if you have a cat.
